# Updating the mabl CLI

The mabl CLI should be regularly updated to take advantage of mabl's newest functionality, improvements, and bug fixes. To install or upgrade to the newest version of the mabl CLI, run the following command:

``` language-auto
npm install -g @mablhq/mabl-cli
```

The mabl CLI doesn't update automatically, but it does alert you when it detects a new version.
